po to, kai perskaičiau gtd bibliją, norėjosi daugiau informacijos. deja, bet david allen yra išleidęs tik dvi knygas (bet jau labai greitai bus ir trečia). ilgai dairiausi knygynuose, bet david allen – ready for anything rasti buvo sunku. kai paveda plytos ir cementas, į pagalbą skuba ponas amazonas.
po keletos pirmųjų puslapių norėjau mesti knygą lauk, nes tai buvo visiškai ne tai, ko tikėjausi. aš maniau, kad po konceptualios gtd knygos deividas pateiks konkrečių patarimų ir pavyzdžių. tačiau jis sugebėjo dar labiau pakelti savo tekstų abstrakcijos lygį. susikaupiau ir perskaičiau visą knygą. maždaug ties pirmu trečdaliu apėmė nuotaika, kad skaitau kažkokius meditacinius tekstus. ši knyga, tai naujienlaiškių, kurie buvo siunčiami visiems užsiregistravusiems davidco svetainėje, rinkinys. neperskaičius pirmosios knygos, šie tekstai yra praktiškai beverčiai. kadanors, kai bus labai gūdu, sviesiu šią knygą ant žemės ir skaitysiu atsivertusį atsitiktinį skyrelį.

iOS UI Proportions (from Principia Arbiter: New Visual Proportions for the iOS User Interface, via Timoni West)
One thing I’ve noticed in a lot of custom iOS UIs (particularly ones designed by engineers) is a lack of attention to proportions. As this diagram demonstrates, the standard iOS UI has a visual rhythm—a major rhythm of 44 pixels and a minor rhythm of 11 pixels to be exact. When you work within this system for your sizing, spacing, and padding, your app will generally look and feel harmoniously iOS-like, even if the UI is heavily custom. When you don’t, it tends feels subtly off (as in the iPod playlist screen example given in the article).
This is super weird. Why are so many more babies born in the summer? I guess the winter blues really get to people? Crazy …
