nesenai wired patalpino įdomų straipsnį apie david allen, kuris yra mums gerai žinomos gtd sektos tėvukas. juokingiausia, kad jis iš tikro, rūgštele pakvipusiais šešiasdešimtaisiais, buvo kažkokios sektos vadas. be to, dar buvo sėdęs ant adatos ir tupėjo psichbalnycoje. o dabar va konsultuoja sau fotune 500 droidus. skaitant knygą, nėra jokios net užuominos, kad autorius su labai spalvinga praeitimi. įdomu, ar jis toks išsivalęs, ar čia redaktorius neblogas pakliuvo?
bet kuriuo atveju, sektos vadoas yra šimtąkart geriau, nei sektos zombis ;] “Start Your Own Cult For Fun And Profit”, “Castration: Is It Right For Your Cult?” ir etc.
atsimenu, kaip kadaise, amžinam editorių kare, mano svariausias argumentas prieš ultraedit buvo tai, kad jo autorius kažkoks pamišęs krikščionis. dabar nuėjau patikrinti ultraedit.com, kažkur dingo autentiškas gamintojo balsas. contact sales@, support@, resellers@. ja ja, beveidė korporatyvinė siena. matyt marketoidai patraukė išprotėjusį senuką nuo pinigų vairo.

iOS UI Proportions (from Principia Arbiter: New Visual Proportions for the iOS User Interface, via Timoni West)
One thing I’ve noticed in a lot of custom iOS UIs (particularly ones designed by engineers) is a lack of attention to proportions. As this diagram demonstrates, the standard iOS UI has a visual rhythm—a major rhythm of 44 pixels and a minor rhythm of 11 pixels to be exact. When you work within this system for your sizing, spacing, and padding, your app will generally look and feel harmoniously iOS-like, even if the UI is heavily custom. When you don’t, it tends feels subtly off (as in the iPod playlist screen example given in the article).
This is super weird. Why are so many more babies born in the summer? I guess the winter blues really get to people? Crazy …
