kažkada seniau greitomis perverčiau dvi knygas apie xml. norėjau pasitikrinti, gal ekspertai siūlo paslaptingus sprendimus, kuriuos galėčiau pritaikyti praktikoje ir palengvinti sau gyvenimą.
david megginson – imperfect xml: rants, raves, tips, and tricks … from an insider. nepaisant to, kad knygos autorius – SAX parserio tėtukas, knyga visai prasta. pagrindinė bėda – visiškai neaiški knygos tikslinė auditorija: ji nenaudinga nei programuotojams, nei vadovams. kažkoks mėšlo ir akivaizdžių dalykų kratinys. net ištryniau iš savo bibliotekėlės, kad nesipainiotų po akimis. neskaitykit patys, o jei rasit knygynuose – įdaužkit supuvusį kiaušinį tarp lapų, kad ir kitiems nekiltų noras skaityti.
elliotte rusty harold – effective xml: 50 specific ways to improve your xml. skirtingai nei pirmoji, šį knyga – tikrai gera. labai lengvai ir greitai skaitosi. o dauguma patarimų naudingi ir pritaikomi praktikoje. aišku, kad prieš atsiverčiant šią knygą, reikėtų jau būti pasipraktikavus su xml, nes tai nėra vadovas pradedantiesiems.
